Due to the sleuthing skills of Sarah (and maybe Steve??), look what awesome perks have been uncovered. Sarah promises (sort of) that the family suite gets these, though I'm still not sure if I believe her. Anyway, read for yourself at this link. I'm most excited about the free glass of champagne and the free laundry service. Sarah also claims to have other links to support these claims, so perhaps she'll share with us...

I have good news and bad news.....
The good news is the champagne is still on. The bad news is that the other things you and Sarah are looking to we don't.... Look at your link and, at the bottom, you'll see what the *mini*-suites (the family room is a double mini-suite) get.....
This person (read post 10) seemed to get the better perks in the family suite, though on a different ship. What is confusing is that the Family Suite seems to fall into some other category so either you go with personal experiences people had, you call the actual cruise line and hope you get someone who knows what they are talking about, or you just wait and see.

everything i have read indicates that the family suite counts as a full suite - i have to find the other links, and i will call later to confirm, but here is one link:

ok, final word. i just spoke with my new best friend Beth (who sounded like she had a cold), and she confirmed that yes indeed, family suites are considered full suites, and do get all of the perks & privileges included therein. so, woohoo, free laundry service!
thank you sarah, you're the bestest :)
>>thank you sarah, you're the bestest :)
And sure figured the bestest way to answer this problem.
I thank you, too.
Now keep your hands off my strawberries. My gratitude doesn't go that far....

While I'm certainly happy Sarah called, it wasn't that difficult an idea to come up with. In fact, I suggested it in my first comment...
And the strawberries are mine.
first, to clear one thing up, steve gets credit for the initial discovery & the sleuthing & whatnot. and as such, he deserves the strawberries. which he will share with me, his wife. :p
second, 1-800-PRINCESS is your friend. next time, instead of debating on a blog thread, one of you can call yourself :)
i could have called, but frankly, didn't care that much. and it can be fun to watch dad panic over things. sometimes.
and thank you, steve :)
>>And the strawberries are mine.
Keep thst tjhought in mind and it's going to be a loooong cruise.. althouth someone may fiund herself existed suddenly, absent the benefit of a dock on which to exit.....

And exactly how is he going to share them with you when both of you discover your hands end at your elbows? Which is inevitable if any of you come close to *my* strawberries.....
>>and it can be fun to watch dad panic over things.
I'll remember that as the ship pulls away from the port of Vancouver and decide not to panic because you are still on dock....
my, my, someone is a bit testy this evening.

i don't even know where to begin with the grammatical issues in this...
