emergency kit, revisited

ok, i am getting ready to revisit the emergency kit, and replenish it with anything we think we might need.  any ideas from the peanut gallery? it already has a lot of stuff, but i don't feel like typing the list out. so give me any ideas you have, and i will make sure they are in there (or make fun of you for suggesting something mockery-worthy :p )

bwah ha ha ha, you and your emergency kit...

i trust your emergency kit packing skills - i assume you've got all the medical needs taken care of. but some possible ideas:
~maybe whatever candy/snacks dad might need for diabetic highs and lows?
~a list of emergency numbers in the UK that we should be aware of?
~UK road maps in case of technology failures (though maybe we should just have that in the trip binder/folder)
~sharpie, duct tape, baggies are always helpful

An American-British medical dictionary, in case we have to talk to a British doctor?

(Also one for talking with auto mechanics. I may get a bee in my bonnet when I'm told I have an oil leak under mine.)

On a serious note, I'll have my diabetes stuff - including glucose tablets and insulin. They're not "emergency" supplies, they're just part of normal life.

I didn't mean insulin, medication, etc., I meant candy/food. Plus I like candy. People with prescription medications are responsible for carrying those themselves, that's never been part of the emergency kit anyway.
